Saralyn obtained her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education in Speech-Language Pathology at Valdosta State University with an emphasis in Family Based Interventions ages 0-8 years during graduate school. Prior to joining 'more than words', Saralyn worked as a Georgia certified preschool special education teacher for 6 years with state certification in testing for Early Childhood Education. For 7 years she served as an SLP at the elementary, middle, and high school level for a local school system. She has additional training in literacy interventions, both decoding and comprehension. She has experience working in a variety of settings, including daycares, schools, homes, and clinic settings with clients of varying ability levels. Saralyn is trained in the coaching model of intervention and believes that families are a VITAL part of successful interventions. A lifelong resident of Lowndes County, Saralyn currently lives in Hahira with her husband and two daughters.
